I'm a freshmen marine biology major at the University of New Haven. It's in Connecticut, USA. What about you? Where are you from?
That sounds awesome! The only things I know about Connecticut is what I’ve seen on Gilmore Girls, haha. I’m from this really small fishing village in New Brunswick, Canada. Currently, I live in the nearest city which is Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. I’m hoping to get to school in either Montreal (Canada) or London (England) next year.
We both love Green Day and the doctor?!? WOW! You are awesome! :)
First of all GREAT taste in music. Second, FINALLY someone who knows who the doctor is! All of my friends look at me like I'm a freak when I reference doctor who. lol
Believe me, you are not alone. I absolutely love the Doctor, I’ve actually gotten a lot of people I know into it. But outside of my group of friends, I also get strange looks, haha. What do you think of the latest doctor? I don’t like him as much, but that’s probably because I’m madly in love with David Tennant, haha!
“Think you’ve seen it all? Think again. Outside those doors, we might see anything. We could find new worlds, terrifying monsters, impossible things. And if you come with me… nothing will ever be the same again!”—The Doctor
“And under here, Hedwig” – Harry pulled open a door under the stairs – “is where I used to sleep! You never knew me then – Blimey, it’s small, I’d forgotten…”
Harry looked around at the stacked shoes and umbrellas remembering how he used to wake every morning looking up at the underside of the staircase, which was more often than not adorned with a spider or two. Those had been the days before he had known anything about his true identity; before he had found out how his parents had died or why such strange things often happened around him.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Chapter 4: The Seven Potters (as read by Tom Felton)
“Hanging out with her is a little bit like wandering through a Venetian palazzo: Everything is exquisite and fragile and slightly haunted, and you keep thinking the whole thing is going to sink to the bottom of the sea any minute, but somehow it never does. When she sits, she curls around herself and drags deeply from her cigarette, filling the air with smoke, as if she wants to disappear.”—
“Freethinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without prejudice and without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs, privileges, or beliefs. This state of mind is not common, but it is essential for right thinking.”—- Leo Tolstoy
“I can open my own doors, pay for my own meals, light my own cigarette, buy my own tickets for shows, buy my own jewelry and a multitude of other things. But why on earth would I want to? Men were put here for a reason, dahlings, embrace your cliche wholeheartedly.”—
“The Nirvana album is still in her lap, the page in the photo album shows a blue-eyed girl with a cigarette. A girl who longs for something more, for truth, for the freedom to be who she is. Here she was. Entertain her.”—
“She is who she is and she’s never pretended to be anything else. She likes jazz and driving too fast and nights that go on forever. She loves gin and dogs and four-letter words and Frank Sinatra. To know her any more intimately would be to risk it all. Good night and good luck.”—
"It’s so easy to get caught up in what I’m regretting, forgetting what I’ve got.."
I’ve been ignoring my blog again, haven’t I? After I promised not to, how shameful of me. My sincerest apologies, really. Let’s get to it then, hm?
I’ve been in a turmoil lately. Trying to find lots of things to do, because I like being busy. It’s been hard cause I didn’t have a lot going on, really. I’ve been thinking a lot about what to do at the end of summer, I’m thinking for right now my game plan is Saint John for the summer - Montreal (hopefully) for a few weeks in August - Blacks Harbour for a few months (depending on jobs and whatnot) and then London. It’s not much of a plan, but it’s something and who knows, it may change.
I’ve recently applied to become involved with the Ian Somerhalder Foundation (ISF), they cover a variety of important issues and raise awareness and funds for them. Fingers crossed I get in! I’ve also started doing a lot of things with online petitions to raise awareness and try and make a difference, if only a small one.
Film wise, not much has been going on. Haven’t been back to set since the disastrous attempt to film one of my scenes back in March…golly gee damn. I’ll keep you posted on that.
I’ve finally started running and doing yoga again, I’m a little sore because I’m out of practice, but it feels amazing! And the energy it gives you is incredible! Bring on the major weight loss? Here’s hoping! Stay tuned for updated pictures soon!
